IndoSpace, India’s leading developer of industrial and logistics parks, has announced plans to increase its investment in Tamil Nadu, underscoring the state’s growing importance as a manufacturing and logistics hub. The company aims to expand its footprint by developing state-of-the-art industrial parks to cater to the automotive, electric vehicle (EV), electronics, and logistics sectors.

With a planned investment of over ₹3,000 crore, IndoSpace intends to establish new industrial parks across key locations such as Chennai, Coimbatore, Sriperumbudur, and Oragadam. These parks will offer world-class infrastructure, sustainable facilities, and advanced warehousing solutions tailored to the requirements of global and domestic manufacturers.

Tamil Nadu’s strategic location, well-developed ports (Chennai, Ennore, and Kattupalli), and robust connectivity make it an ideal region for IndoSpace’s expansion. The Tamil Nadu Industrial Policy 2024 and the state’s focus on attracting foreign direct investments (FDI) have further encouraged developers like IndoSpace to scale up their operations.

The new industrial parks will prioritize sustainability and green initiatives, including the integration of solar energy, water recycling systems, and energy-efficient infrastructure. IndoSpace also plans to adopt advanced digital technologies to streamline supply chain operations and logistics management for their clients.

This expansion is expected to create over 10,000 direct and indirect jobs, providing employment opportunities in manufacturing, logistics, and ancillary industries. Additionally, IndoSpace aims to collaborate with local businesses and suppliers, ensuring that the economic benefits trickle down to local communities.

Experts believe that IndoSpace’s increased investment will strengthen Tamil Nadu’s position as a preferred destination for global manufacturers, particularly in EV manufacturing, electronics assembly, and export-driven industries. The development of modern industrial parks will not only attract multinational companies but also support the growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the region.

The IndoSpace announcement aligns with Tamil Nadu’s long-term vision of becoming a global hub for advanced manufacturing and logistics, further boosting its status as one of India’s most industrially progressive states.
